High blood pressure has no symptoms – that is why it is call the silent killer, so they only way to know if you are at risk from a stroke or heart disease is to have a blood pressure check.

This year’s theme is STOP Stoke. High Blood pressure is responsible for approximately 60% of strokes and the number of strokes among younger adults is increasing. As 9 out of 10 stokes are preventable Blood Pressure UK are urging people to check their blood pressure as part of Know Your Numbers! Week – regardless of age.
